The Mask of Black Death is a first person dungeon crawler and the third and final game in the Ghost Hunter series by Humming Bird Soft. The game involves a group of 4 investigators exploring a haunted mansion with graphics displayed in an FMV style. Combat is standard turn-based affair.

The Ghost Hunter series is an interesting collection of horror themed RPGs that started with Laplace no Ma. This has a similar concept, but the gameplay is extremely slow thanks to the FMV style of presentation. Every movement and action you have to wait for it to load the little video. Battles are a bit half-assed with little icons showing up under each character for commands and very little feedback.
